I am starting to think consistent silver medals is better than a couple of golds. It shows your consistent strength even if some random event pushes someone else over the top. I think we should ignore special events when determining daily winners.

Yes, well that's the point isn't it? If you look at WHO are the ones in the top, they're also the ones that can often end up being the winners of the day without events (Kuzuha, Pekora). Winners of the day is just a fun little thing by itself, but it does reflect the overall numbers and trends as well, numbers notwithstanding. Those that do well without events will Timaru end up higher up on the medians list as they have more streams with good numbers overalls which muted the effect that events have on their numbers (medians, after all).

It was pretty clear a lot of people clicked on it randomly but didn't stay. Only time I've seen that for a vtuber. There's a timeline where Hololive didn't become where it is today and the vtubing industry is pumped full of niji talents because they have the monopoly. Every hour of the day, there will at least be 5 livers streaming on the timeslot. That's a grim timeline to me.

It's better to just take the whole thing slow, and pump a few vtubers every year for major corpos and let other companies build reps on their own to follow. Of course, Holos shouldn't collab with them kek.

This whole game of vtubing is all about CCV. Viewership and Following. Which means ALL influence are driven by the people that consume it. You cannot take true monopoly over viewership. If that was the case then all of the corpos and indies would be dead or soon to be dead but numbers suggest that business is thriving so much so that we have 16k vtubers now indie or otherwise. Yeah. This was still back when Mori was starting out and probably saw Vtubing as a temporary thing. With her getting closer to Myth and being more integrated into Hololive in general, she's started to focus on more Vtuber-cetric activities now. I can almost guarantee that the Mori from 9months ago wouldn't have even tried to make it for the sportsfest even if she suddenly found time to spare. Also, just a rrat but does anyone think that those "friends" that Mori was referring to also included Connor and his ilk.
