Nintendo just explicitly and purposely hates Mother 3.
There's no fucking REASON why. There is literally no rationale. But they are very clear and have specifically acknowledged the fact that they despise the idea of allowing Mother 3 to be released. It is a choice, and they consciously made it, and consciously acknowledged it multiple times.
