>>13806777I'm not sure many would entertain the idea of adopting indies.
It happens very rarely because it is a legal nightmare of ownership.
I'd imagine a lot of the self-made types would be trivial, but if there was a clause where you signed over ownership of the model to the company, I doubt many would go.
See Camomi Camomi as a good example of that NOT happening, that's a rarity. Even though people call 774 a black company, at least they allowed her to keep ownership of the model when she joined and decided to leave (even if Nanashi is a cunt)
I'd expect most contracts would be "we will take ownership" but offer them lots of services to grow, in order to try tease them in and not (want to) leave, or leave at all without killing off their whole persona.
When it comes to big companies like Anycolor and Cover, and especially 3rd parties that made the assets, that's where things go to all kinds of hell because no doubt most of those content creators would want a bigger cut of money, from artists to animators to modellers.
It's a tricksy thing to deal with, it could be done, but it's likely not worth the hassle when you can just reincarnate and say "hey dudes I'm joining X come join me" and only the most dedicated fans will find you. (like what happens with most indies joining companies before thet close up shop and private / delete things by doing subtle likes / follows of people)
