No, it is not enough. I don't know anything about the types of vegans you've encountered so I apologize on their behalf, but 'unwarranted self importance' is not a typical vegan trait. This is exactly it, anon. How the hell am I supposed to enjoy my escape from real life if I can't even escape carnism? Human and animal welfare is very important to me. Nonvegans/non animal sympathizers rarely evoke feelings of moe anyhow, so I stopped trying to force connections.

perhaps you are looking at it wrongly. instead of looking for vegans in particular you should look for vtubers who care more about animals than the average person or who have changed their dietary habits to reduce some animal suffering.
e.g. Gura isn't full vegan apparently but she doesn't eat meat which means she cares about animal suffering
