Ending 2021 Right Edition
Welcome to VShojo+! A thread to discuss VShojo, and any vtubers frequently associated with them.
2021 was a huge year for the group. It had its ups and its downs sure, but it's also been amazing seeing just how much growth there has been among the group in that time. Not even purely in numbers, but also in relationships, and how many new friends have been gained along the way. This time last year the group only had 6 members, with one having only debuted a month prior. Now we're up to 8, with the hope that we'll be hearing about more soon. Zen has gone from the odd one out of the group to the one with the strongest ties to the indie community, and who even had the opportunity to collaborate with an old childhood favorite, SeaNanners. Silver went from a regular comfy, cozy streamer to someone whose entire family participates in her vtubing activities, and has even helped bring positivity with her own familial relationships to others in the community. Mel went from that vtuber who's also a camgirl, to someone with an entire team behind her, and who even has a studio backing her as she makes a lewd game. Froot went from complete obscurity as the originator behind a semi-notable meme, to one of the big players in the Twitch vtuber sphere. Vei went from a 1k andy with drinking problems to someone with the potential to become the #1 Vtuber on the entire platform. Nyan went from pink hair cringe cat to someone who's fulfilled a childhood dream with two concerts under her belt and a goddamn Nendoroid on the way.
And then there's Mouse. Someone who continually refuses to let her life's circumstances keep her down. She's like a totally different person now. She's got a new computer, has moved to a new room, has finally extended her diet beyond nutrition drinks, if ever so slightly, and even had a little bit of rice to celebrate the holidays. It may have ended in a stomachache, but even going that far was unheard of for her this time last year, and everyone in the group is happy to recognize her progress. Last night's New Year's Eve party was the culmination of a lot of things for Mouse. She finally had her half-body VR set up, and she was ready to spend the evening with friends. She did exactly that, and damn if it wasn't enough to melt even the coldest, most cynical of hearts. She near-broke down into tears when hugging Snuffy for the first time in VR, and Snuffy returned the favor. Then Silver repeated the feat. And so on until she had gotten to experience a hug, even if virtually, with all of her friends for the first time ever. But a special mention goes to the most unexpected hug of the night. Layna Lazar, friend of Silver who has her own significant health issues to contend with was given a warm embrace as she just wanted to hug someone who could relate to health issues in much the same way she had. There may have been numerous camera issues, but it's the kind of stream that's going to be remembered for the rest of the year, and should be relived when you get the opportunity.
Oh. And there's Hime. She's pretty much exactly where she always was, and is still the Queen of Scuff. But it's okay. We love her. Let's look forward to more big things in 2022, and keep things comfy in the thread for your fellow anons by ignoring bait, and being excellent to each other.
