Not that anon, just giving my thoughts, she’s still obviously the top dog in HoloJP and I don’t think there’s any disputing that but recent events over in JP side really does make it feel like she’s gradually declining. I often felt like no one wanted to touch Pekora because of her place in the streaming world, and she capitalized on that to the highest degree. She’d constantly make streams before and after events for funneling, would have her own time slot for weekends and would not face much competition overall.

I don’t think HoloX are really all that great but they’ve put so much pressure on JP to stream and that’s led to these giant piles of streams at specific hours that makes it hard for anyone to make a decisive winner of the night. That on top of FBK’s shiny hunts and other shit, it feels like a lot of the hype has come down for viewers of Pekora. Obviously still huge, but you see a lot more low end streams and her obvious subscriber decline that quite frankly has dropped off a cliff for someone her status

Well, Pekora said it for herself, she wanted to take it easier this year.
Makes sense, if you go HARD constantly, you're going to wear yourself out much faster, and she doesn't NEED to go so hard constantly, that's the entire point of being part of something like Hololive where you can be backed up by others. A bit of competition, but also a support network.
Honestly, given how some Holomem have worked themselves to the point of forced breaks and how poorly the mental state of some streamers ends up, better that she makes sure she doesn't burn out than to constantly try and chase the numbers.

I even see her having some advantages over Gura. One of Gura's big advantages is the unique sound of her voice that you can't really match with practice, ya just gotta have it. Well, Mumei has it!! Adding on to this because content dictates so much of CCV saying "Well her numbers dropped from X month to Y month therefore she got culled" is wrong. We know there was a cull in December 2020 but the claims it hit any group harder have never been based in anything but a very simplistic view that if Gura dropped 40% then she must have been culled for 40% which obviously doesn't factor in debut buff wearing off or the possibility she just had shittier content that month.
