everyone is mostly chill and I've had multiple occasion where people really tried to put up with my broken ass japanese.
mind you at the same time, i also had a time when i tried to talk to someone only for him to say in English "i don't speak english" as i was speaking Japanese at him.
honestly it takes a bit but once you get acclimated just being there is a super unique experience because of how different the culture is.
