Below is a summary of the actual situation of what happened/is happening in the Chinese fan community. Outside of Reddit and Twitter, the discussion has lasted for days with most Chinese fans included before Cover's
announcement. It is most probable that you do not agree with all the opinions below, and I'm not asking you to do so. This post is simply meant to provide you another point of view to get more information.
The 'fans' mentioned in this post means the majority of actual fans who loved and greatly supported Hololive, not the haters that Reddit's talking about. There has been a very small group of haters who were constantly stroke (reported, muted, or even got their Bilibili accounts banned) by fans that once loved Hololive, but totally different from whom I'm going to mention.
I may add some pictures later, if possible.
Some bullet points of opinion if you want to skip:
1. Haato didn't post political information intentionally, she is innocent and shouldn't be punished.
2. Coco intentionally hurts China and makes this topic a cash cow, even if it means sacrificing 1st and 2nd senpai's efforts.
3. Cover uses innocent Haato as the hostage to protect Coco.
4. Coco wants to use Aki as her hostage in the collab since Aki's bilibili stream plan on 9/25 was interrupted.
5. Cover fooled the Chinese community in June with an empty promise.
6. This time Cover wants to fool fans with 3 versions of announcements with greatly different contents.
7. Either Hololive should leave the Chinese market, or Coco should leave Hololive

Stage 1.When Haato was streaming and reading the content on the Youtube page.
Haato fans:Wtf did I hear? What was she saying?
There wasn't much discussion about this case.
Stage 2.Haato's Bilibili streaming channel got banned for a week. Her video channel and archive were unharmed. (This is different from Youtube)
Haato fans and a few fans of other Holo members:Okay. So there was something wrong with the stream. Youtube shows 'country/region' in Chinese but 'country' in other languages. It's the same as what happened to Choco sensei, Aqua, and Pekora. It is difficult to be perfect in such an anti-China environment. Even compared to other Hololive members, Haato has always been so kind to CN fans. So she didn't mean it. It's Youtube's fault. Banning Bilibili alone for a week is rather good because it leaves the haters no excuse to report this to the government to trigger bigger trouble. Let's watch and create more clips for Haato in this week.
There were some discussions, but people didn't take it seriously. And people thought it's Youtube's fault.
Stage 3.Right after Coco's streaming channel got banned for a month after Asacoco on 9/25. All other Hololive members' streaming channels stopped rebroadcasting. (but not banned)
The majority (about 60%) CN Hololive fans:Again? Within 24 hrs? With written contents prepared and displayed? I'm okay with Haato. But this is going to be serious.
Some other (about 20%) CN Hololive fans:Wait! Wait! Is there something else that we don't know? We better wait and see what's going on and how Cover gonna respond.
The rest of the fans that only watch streams of a few Hololive members:I'm an Aki/Aqua fan and I've been looking forward to the stream. (Aki planned to visit the MC server to see fanart buildings, Aqua planned to show her new live2D) Now it's down and I wish to know who's responsible for this.
There were some discussions, people started to take it seriously, and recognize this as an event that Cover should investigate and respond.
Stage 4.Late on 9/25, comments and posts regarding this banning on CN forums have been actively removed. Meanwhile, Coco was streaming.
The majority (about 95%) CN Hololive fans:Good job Cover! You want to fool us, again! You did this before in June. And good job Bilibili. By helping deleting comments you made yourself surrender to the income and capital.
A few sounds (less than 5%) in CN Hololive fans:Could it be an accident? Could it be haters spreading fake news? We know Coco's personality, could it be intentional but not malicious.
