>>19714374I think it's not going to be the most popular opinion here but I fully expect that holoEN males will be to nijiEN males kind of like what nijiEN girls are to holoEN girls. Niji pretty successfully managed to tap into and dominate a relatively new demographic here, and holo trying to squeeze in now pretty much puts them in the same position nijiEN was in way back when, when most of the potential fanbase was already watching hololive and they just kind of had to try to slice off what bits they could.
That's not to say that holostarsEN will be a failure... I don't think the nijiEN girls are a failure either, they're all very successful streamers who earn good money and have a sizeable audience that most other vtubers outside holo/niji/vshojo would envy. Just that I don't really expect starsEN to just automatically blow past the nijiEN males simply because they come from the "bigger company", since hololive's brand power isn't really going to help them here with a mostly female audience who weren't necessarily as interested in the female vtuber field that hololive dominates in to begin with.
