One of the reasons I said SEA doesn't care that much about IDs, is because they are flat out not that popular. At least when it comes to conversations here, where most of conversation is about EN.
That's the point. Because ENs are more popular, shitposters know that they can rile people up easily with them. Ollie yabs are just sidenotes that quickly lose bait value, because it's fucking Ollie.
But shitposters can use it as a proxy to try and stir shit with EN.
That's the fate of the IDs in these threads. They speak english, and people are mostly fine with them, and even like them, so they are talked about. But they will always be overshadowed by the ENs, and these threads feel much more "ownership" of the ENs.
IDs are understood, so people can rrat with them a lot better and attack ENs.
