I mean, they can. But, Cover already has a year head-start on this. The others including anycolor needs to start hiring devs, development etc. All of which needs time and money. Cover had already provided this and is already in the testing stage. By the time the others had already created one of their own, Cover already grasps the vtuber metaverse mindshare like they did with HoloEN. The only disappointing project that I could think of from anycolor to respond to this is probably a bad niji mobage developed by konami.

So, summary of the # story last night:
1) Valorant Collab happens
2) # still focused on the nipple/Miko horse race
4) One anon puts a side by side graphs of all the valorant streams
5) Graphs looks sus. All of them dipped in the first 10 minutes then gets back up again. Also, the unusually high waiting room recovery.
6) Most Anons blame it on viewfarms/VPNs.
7) One anon says botting might exists and it looks relatively cheap to do.
8) Most # Anons ignore or make fun of the theory saying that there's no way YT would let that slide.
9) One crazy anon tried this theory which led to the Millie fiasco
10) At first, it was an okay looking graph with a small inclination, then it looks jagged Meaning that there's some truth that bots could stay a lot longer in the stream. This was the $11 bot deal.
11) Then comes some retard who purchased a deal which causes Millie to rise to 13k which led to most of the regular # Anons to mindbreak that it's possible to bot streams now for a cheap price.
12) Then, thread devolves, nijifags rioting and agitating, numberfags mindbroken, Jannie's banning everyone. Sprinkle in some fujos to try dismiss all the claims when all the experiments had been confirmed true.

What a wild day. You know that slow and steady meme, where viewers should be organically obtained. How ironic that it's coming from Riku's mouth.

I don't know the specifics but think of all the sunk costs/deposits. Venue rental, concessions, equipment rental, pre production staff pay, choreographers, lighting specialists, 3d modellers, riggers, design and production of promo materials, merch runs, and most importantly all the time your talent and staff spent preparing is just gone. Think of how your midlevel vtuber can make hundreds of dollar an hour just faffing around playing minecraft. You are using a lot of their time preparing for the event. And then it all goes to waste. No, the initial rise to 1k CCV was just her stream normally gaining viewers. See picrel, the first botting attempt going online was that two spikes reaching 4k, and the second, 'piling on' attempt was the one that had 13k peak.

How normal CCV works is when people comes out of a stream, other people would come to replace it. When 10 people comes in, one goes out, the stream inclines at a good pace. Some event graphs show that it'll incline like a very tall hill with none of the worm like figures going on because real/verified people are watching the stream.

The best example of a botted/viewfarmed stream is probably Uki's karaoke stream where thousands of people are being added every 5-10 minutes, looking like a freaking stair. Another case is when there's a sharp drop in the views, but people aren't lagging in the chat to show it was a connection issue meaning VPN & Viewfarms were at work there. Youtube would block VPNs after a period of time or if the viewfarm provider refreshed the stream.

Yeah, I was going to say, keep in mind those fuckhuge jumps will mess up the scale of the graph. Now, this isn't conclusive evidence of anything because there's obviously more than just 1 factor influencing this dataset, the 13k jump definitively proves somebody other than the initial anon payed for bots. There can be explanations for this behavior other than the bots coming online as well, but I do see this behavior as unusual. Every other Triangle Strategy stream she did hovered at the 500-600 viewer mark, going to 1k was not normal, though it's not definitive proof of anything since the well was poisoned.

Anon, only the first Triangle Strategy stream got to 1k, her 3rd stream, made at a similar time to the first stream only got 536 viewers while her 2nd stream, done at around the same time as this one got to 639. Like I've said above it's not conclusive proof of botting because of the poisoned well and lack of control over the experiment, but neither is this behavior normal.

Different circumstances yes, Enna's stream was going real long and people were likely tired at the end, perhaps explaining the smaller funnel but you see the viewers rising up immediately after Enna's stream ends and fairly quickly at that. Within 10 minutes the funnel is over and we see the effects immediately meanwhile here we see a much slower gradual rise and then a sudden spike. Like I said though, not a definitive proof of anything but it's worth considering rather than discarding as just a funnel.

I'm not that anon and I'm just saying people dismissing it outright is also wrong. It's a possibility but like I said, it's one case and there's a bunch of factors that mean nobody should take the data as gospel or even as solid evidence. Saying it's not circumstantial evidence though is incorrect and I think it's something at least worth keeping in the back of people's heads. I wouldn't argue it if the guy wasn't so adamant that it was totally just a funnel, that is one explanation and a potentially valid one, but until there's definitive proof one way or the other one shouldn't chalk it up to just a funnel, or absolutely botting.

NTA, I don't watch niji at all and I hate those manwhores. But if you ignore the dips, the line goes up or stays horizontal from start to finish. This could be explained with chink mainlanders using VPN and getting disconnected (they complained about lag) or youtube using different view verification with VPNs. Botting dumps just don't look like these graphs, they go up fast but they dump even faster

That's the thing.
They either incline past or recover what number they got before the dip, which implies that the number of viewers didn't change, youtube's CCV counter is just acting weird.
We've seen a few times already how crazy spiky actual botted streams look and it looks nothing like this.

As for viewfarms, we'll can't definitively prove it so at best it'll remain a theory. It's also "legal" too so youtube won't do anything about it.
