>>2320938I genuinely don't know of any other places to talk about IDs, period. Twitter only really engages with them on their accounts, and the reddit, from what I gather on my scouting missions from time to time for Meme Review data, doesn't discuss them outside of PekoMoona related shitposting.
JPs are interesting. While I prefer to talk about them here, I think they're actually incredibly easy to talk about to normalfags, so long as you lower your expectations accordingly. Normalfags, and I mean the real normalfags, not "dip a toe in the weeaboo waters and act like a faggot" normalfags, are remarkably willing to watch Hololive in my experience, and talk about them in nice terms. I have a small group of people who come to me with clips that talk about moments from streams I watch and I tell them about the context behind those clips, for instance, and those are always good conversations.
For some reason, normalfags don't have any real exposure to narrative bullshit, so discussion with them is base, but tolerable. This place and occasionally the migrated /hlg/ are worthwhile for talking about them otherwise. Either you get to meet like-minded fans on the site and share your experiences, or you're one of the few fans of the person you watch, which means you get the joy of directing people's experiences and exposure to your favorite, which may lead to you being able to grow an audience with your unique understanding of your favorite holo, thereby creating your own community to talk to.
