>>2335403>>2335318I feel like with real streamers you (should) know that there's an impassable barrier between you and them. You see a real person, but you see what they choose to show you. They can be entertaining and enjoyable, but that's about it, it shouldn't, no, it can't go any further than that.
With Hololive and I guess Vtubers in general, there's an anime avatar and a character that kind of acts as that barrier. The streamer hides their real face behind the avatar, keeping their anonymity, and are able to share stuff while having it all be part of a character, while the audience can fall for and be attached to the character, detached from the real person. But this also means some fans can be especially attached and deranged because of how charming the streamer has made the character, making it more dangerous for real life stuff to be known.
Not to say 3D streamers don't also have crazies to deal with, I'm sure they do too. Anyone who tries going beyond these barriers are in need of serious help.
