Im gonna be real with you champ, StarsEN isn't in their priority list right now. despite the anons here doomposting. They haven't even decided on which HoloEN is directed to go. >no proper 3D debuts, >no proper 3D projects, there's also too few of Holomems. much more niche's to fill.

And they just broke through the Indonesia market, and finally tasted success. with the recent gen that debuted. They're gonna pick up on that guaranteed, strike while the iron is hot.

I just don't know what they're thinking. about KR. Vtubing KR twitch is massive, definitely top 3 market, just behind EN, whose behind JP.

It's risky to venture out a market knowing that you have no presence to. They still have so much work to do with their money-makers, it'll take a while to be polished and i think they will focus on that. that's why i don't believe that they're gonna release a Male EN branch that soon. There's just no logical explanation. Nijisanji already has the market locked, it's a lost cause fighting them right now. because they literally have no presence to that market.

Not only that but any dude who wants guaranteed success will go to NijiEN. The only people who are willing to apply for StarsEN are either huge fans of the current Stars, so who knows if they're any good, or masochists who are fine with the conditions they'll be given (and those who only want to get close to their Hololive oshi, but unless they accept that it'll never happen like Oga or Gamma did they'll be hard filtered during the interviews). Maybe Cover can scout someone with a good enough contract to dissuade them from going to other agencies, but who knows if that'll even work.

NijiKR's failure likely killed any interest Cover had in expanding into the region. Could Cover manage to find success where Niji could not like they did with Indonesia? Maybe, but NijiID still showed some, albeit very small, promise back when HoloID was established. NijiKR has already been dissolved. The gooks are just gonna have to stick to grooming Bae and trying to get Kronii to speak Korean. HoloKR isn't happening.

Now wouldn't that actually do them, like, a REALLY good publicity? NijiKR is dead, and Hololive has KR audience. If they make the branch. They'll have 2 undisputed success over Nijisanji, that is the Indonesia, and Korea. It would be a waste if they didn't however.

Let's see if they pick up another Korean Holomem again for Gen3. it would make them officially testing the waters.

i'm still holding hope that they will create the branch. Multiple HoloEN's already got sponsored by a popular KR gacha, months ago. some of them do KR streams once in a while too.

when IRys debuted, iirc, her first song got leaked by some Korean website, 1st source of leak i think.

I'd say there's definitely some talks of a KR branch. Maybe we'll have it after EN3. But let's see.

Korean vtuber fans have some sort of allergic reaction to corporate vtubers and to my knowledge Nijisanji never had big popularity among Korean audience so it's understandable they failed just like their ID branch failed due to similar but different reasons. However, Hololive's idol concept would work way better for Korean market than Nijisanji and there are plenty of KR fans because various translated clips are getting hundreds of thousands of views. If any corporation outside Korea could pull off this stunt, I'd place all my money on Hololive simply because of already preexisting interest. Will they chicken out after seeing how Nijisanji failed? Quite likely.

This. I can image decent amount of people made it to interview stage(s) and expected to be asked about Hololive/Cover because they watched a lot of girls previously but instead were questioned about their Holostars and got filtered instantly. If anyone reading this has applied/is applying be sure to do proper research even if you barely watched Stars and/or just recently found out about this group.

Not sure I understand the reasoning for applying to join an idol boy group if you don't know anything about it in the first place. Holostars has been around for over 2 years now and people trying to apply to for the EN while not even knowing about it's main JP branch is fucking weird. But yeah, the applicant probably has to actually know who the boys are and want be there knowing what their going to be in for is probably what Cover is looking for. Being in Holostars isn't a cake walk and if you aren't prepared for almost no real presence in the western market then your not going to survive being in Holostars. The Holoboys are niche and their fanbase is has almost no overlap with the girls so expecting to get anywhere by collabing with the girls or trying to catch their audience's attention is a fruitless effort. Hope the EN boys can build their own fanbase like their senpais did.

I think there are plenty of men who watched Hololive and thought to themselves "damn I wish I could experience something like this." Out of thousands who thought like that there are certainly those that are qualified to be in Holostars but they may only have basic knowledge about Stars or no knowledge at all simply because they prefer to watch girls, or to paraphrase it: I want to become the next Gura, Pekora or Aqua and have fun times with my mates but I don't give a shit about current Stars. Obviously, this kind of attitude will filter out a lot of people but I don't think it's necessarily a bad attitude because joining for the purpose of getting to know your oshi (in Stars) is not exactly any better. Wanting to be the best in your field irrespective of what others (senpai) did before you is the best attitude to have although some may find it ungrateful or disrespectful.
Having said that, it's still important for anyone wanting to join Holostars to do their research even if they had close to zero knowledge about them prior to sending in their application because you don't wanna fuck up on the interview for your own sake.

The Holostar boys themselves aren't very idol-like either but they still function as an idol group so EN will probably have the same standards set for them. As for researching about the JP boys themselves, that'll definitely boost anyone's chances of getting in since it would show the company your at least knowledgeable of your senpai branch who are probably going to be your main collab pool for your first few months plus StarsJP has a lot connections to other JPchuubas including English speaking ones so getting to know your senpais and having a good relationship with them is more beneficial to anyone thinking to join. Remember...Roberu knows almost everyone in the JPchuuba sphere and he's got the most traction out of the Stars.

These are the 2 of three months where EN has no birthdays or anniversaries, which means wasted potential event revenues. I also don't expect them between July to September as I doubt Cover wants anniversary months to overlap while they can. I just think Cover waited to long and are not going to get the expected results and the EN branch will get less attention than they already get.
