Can someone explain to me what is musically happening inside my brain?
I have been listening to Astrogirl several times over the past day, enough so that the basic melody of it, especially the beginning part, has gotten stuck in my head
But whenever the section from 1:03 to 1:12

I immediately forget what happens after and the part that plays in my head next is instead this

This has been driving me crazy because it's been happening every time Astrogirl gets stuck in my head again, and I can never keep up with how the chorus went after the introduction and buildup, and instead it turns into Payphone
Is it just the neurons firing in my brain are broken is there an actual musical reason why this keeps happening?
