Modern L2D is so good it's not funny how stubborn they are in using that shit. As I say, it's practically impossible to do another Gura incident because the system handles all the riggings hard bits for you. Where they manually have to align every fucking animation frame for every angle of movement and it taking months, you can shit out a superior rig in a 1-4 weeks depending on complexity with all that hard stuff done for you automatically.
Who knows, maybe I am wrong, maybe they have finally updated with this, but I'm not holding my breath, it didn't look all that special in the reveal.
