Coco's graduation last year was a literal funeral. Emotionally charged, plenty of tribute and massive events, fanart exhibitions, everyone writing letters and eulogies praising the deceased and elaborating on how they were the most important person in their lives, everyone crying their fucking eyes out. The graduation of Coco was literally and unironically treated as if she was going to die - Kiryu Coco, the dragon we've formed so much memories and experiences with, is GONE. Heck that's the reason for the "Martyr" memes.
