I wouldn't have even given Gura a chance if not for Sana because I trusted no EN not to be the exact kind of retards we want to get away from with vtubers. Gura and Sana we're so close. I'm sure Gura has been crying non stop since the announcement. Gura always talked to her after every stream for hours on end and even took extra time off to console Sana when she needed it.
I know this is harder on Gura than any other Hololive member for sure and it's not even close. Gura will probably take a week or two off and stop pressuring management for things she wants out of fear of getting fired for it.

The stream before that was just a normal gameplay and she had to turn supa off after that because she felt bad about it (or the manager scolded her who knows). The holocure stream was another normal gameplay, just a bit more chat interaction but nothing unusual for her. The story time stream was... you know how it ended.

I don't really understand the numbers, since Sana still seemed to have okay numbers. A hiatus can kill your career, any streamer will tell you that, but Hololive is more resilient to that because of gachikoi and sharing viewers who are fans of the company. Even I would catch Sana streams if I happened to see her live.
Personally, if I were to start streaming, it would probably make my skin crawl at first. I mean, technically I've been on streams a lot but I was never the one streaming it or talking that much. I think I'd have to force myself and get comfortable over time, so it wouldn't be something I enjoyed doing right away.

the thing is, this is an absolutely terrible plan for people with depression or just a depressed mindset. When you think like this, you will never be in the mood for it. There will always be a reason not to stream (or exercise, or clean the house, etc. etc.) I know because that's my life.
Every time she has had a scheduled stream and she sounded completely exhausted and worn out at the beginning, like she might not even be able to keep her eyes open, she has eventually shaken it off after about 20-30 minutes and been in peak form by the end. That's all you have to do, just START and your brain will kick in eventually.
I've wanted to say this to her before when he explains why she's never playing DMC because she's just not "in the mood" for it, but it would be too petty to get onto her about something like that just for game choice, and I'm happy with whatever she plays. But I think you're right in that this is her mindset and if she becomes accustomed to that it will be really, really bad for her.

I think she is here, but she has her own ideas of how she wants to do things. She knows all the issues, it's not like this is the ONLY place feedback goes, and even if it was, we know EN management patrols through here now and then. The issue is that she doesn't want to talk about it because she's worried about drama by giving it attention. Like with Sana. On Gura's days off, she disconnects as best she can. She could have re-connected briefly to tweet towards Sana, but why, exactly? If she showed up and tweeted the dramaniggers would just twist it around about how fake it is and how she HATES Sana. So she just stays disconnected, because if she's going to get shit for it one way or another, why bother? Same principle with responding to posts about all the ideas she never got to, or her schedules. I wish she would respond, because i'm on the other side of the fence where I'd like it if she threw us a bone if there's going to be drama either way, but what can we do about it? Pretty much nothing.
