first, the western audience. shippers and beggars and muh idol culture bad folks are a vocal (probably) minority. that's less relevant to here and more directly relevant to Ame's comments and donations. I know she's used to uncomfortable donos but why do we want more of that.
two, Ame and teamates shouldn't need to deal with the people who DO buy into that shit. look at the lasting amegeddon shitposting or the suiroberu shitposting. it'll just get leagues worse. btw no this isn't me buying into that shit it's me bitching about retards who do.
thirdly from a content standpoint, cross gender collabs in hololive are consistently worse than same gender collabs from both audiences. they're sterile and boring and pretty much the only thing to come out them is a clip or two of a girl being yab and the dudes being too professional to react.
forth, it ends up with low view dudes becoming accessories for the girls (fbkxoga) if they end up getting along outside of the sterile cross gender collabs, basically the reverse of niji.
essentially it does nothing but introduce more opportunities for drama here and outside of here while providing nothing for me as a watcher.
