Last night was the culmination of, no fucking joke, almost 2 months of fucking buildup. Beginning with the appearance of the mysterious girl in Zen's lore video on May 20th. The weird one with blue hair and a cute hat and a giant key. The same video had a date in it for the end oft he world, and it came to pass with the debut of 2D Melware who may have just been a recolor of regular Mel, but she brought along three more dates with her. The revelation of a key followed shortly after, along with the announcement of an announcement for July 2nd at AX. There we got the reveal of Kson joining the group, along with the reveal of an entirely new member in Nazuna, with both of their debuts into VShojo officially happening 2 weeks later. And just last night we finally got them and wow what a fucking chaotic night that was. There were dual Q&A segments from the group and a collab in Raft that led to the big raid into the first new member, a redebut for Kson!

And holy shit was that a train wreck! In all the best ways though, as Kson accidentally left sound alerts on so she was constantly interrupted with a combination of her voice, people saying they loved her, or that one funeral song from the meme everyone remembers. She did the standard vtuber debut things with a slideshow about VShojo and why she'd like to join, but the scuff was off the charts in ways beyond just audio as the post processing on the model led to it looking strange at times, while her mouth tracking was completely broken so it didn't move at all the entire time. But then she led into Nazuna's debut, and the night ended with a bang! Her model is cute, her starting soon screens look nice, her BG music is catchy, and the background is all really well done. There was even live translations showing up on screen as captions for all the English viewers to make the debut a viewable experience.

The day was littered with problems throughout, but the ending just made it all seem worth it. The culmination of a slow build of hype over 2 months that makes today feel almost empty as we're back to having zero clues as to what the future holds. Other than mouse's mention of more new members coming soon, presumably of the English variety. We'll have to find out when that's coming, but until then make sure to keep things comfy and civil by ignoring and especially reporting bait, and being excellent to each other.
