>>29089236Pretty much this. I don't even watch any Hololive chuubas anymore because of all the shit that's happened. While it's true that I casually watched Ame it's clear she has nothing of interest to me anymore and her reprehensible behavior should've been a red flag to many teamates. I can't for the life of me understand how Mori has an audience at all though. It baffles me.
Gura is playing the long game and is sticking to her principles. She's building herself up as a reliable chuuba. This is extremely significant for her reputation, because even if she one days switches companies, quits, whatever, this reputation will follow her. She is trustworthy. She's not a grifter. You can rely on her. This is a rare quality in people in general and it's worth more than gold itself. She's consistently proving why she's so big and among the best of the best. Watching this sordid spectacle of grifting, treachery, half-assing, ass kissing and clout chasing across the HoloEN landscape and the moronic way Cover is doing things showcases just how stubbornly dedicated and comprehending Gura is. With or without Cover and Hololive this girl has a future, because she has built up her audience and we would follow her, because we have faith in her. She has earned our trust a thousand times over.
I even have a rrat to peddle. I think Gura genuinely likes idol culture and cute girls doing cute things, and she was drawn to Hololive for those things exactly. Watching this mockery and betrayal of it all doesn't sit well for her at all. She herself didn't want this and doesn't want to have anything to do with it. It's not just that she understands us as her fans, but that she shares in our ideals as well. She is a fan that became an idol, and that makes all the difference. Other LARP'd as idols and weebs, Gura is the real deal.
