You could argue it's actually hurting the talents in the long run by clipping their wings at the time they should be trying the absolute hardest to wrangle up their biggest audience possible in a katamari ball, as usually, they won't be seeing a crowd brought there by curiosity/good will beyond a few months and they're going to want as big a pool of viewers to get potentially whittled down over time as possible. Sort of like a bear building up fat to hibernate through winter, IMO holos need to build up their viewerbase in numbers/loyality etc to make it through times they may get whittled down. Of course, this does not always happen, you have some who become huge success stories after not making it at first, but some whose audience doesn't really grow or replace itself at a high rate.
