Literally hit it's peak in Season 4 of the first "Arc" of the game or whatever they call it, and then they've been throwing everything and the kitchen sink into the game.
I miss the days of it being a good enough shooter with some build mechanics, and a few wacky movement options, now it's very much a fucking wild west at the core.
