>doesn't depict the main topic of the boardThis is probably the biggest issue. If I was an outsider and took a look at this logo, I'd have no Idea what the board is about without prior knowledge. For example, I see the /k/ logo and I know it's about going innawoods. I look at /n/ and it's easy to see that the board is about hobbies related to trains, bikes, boats and such. The references are a nice touch, but again, they don't say anything to someone who's unfamiliar with the board and it's subculture. 4CC is an event where the boards come together to showcase their own brand of autism and if /vt/ doesn't play along and focuses on entertaining its own cesspool, we'll get branded as the new /mlp/ immediately.
>kind of hard to seeIncluding the team colors is a nice touch, but not required. Taking a look at regular jerseys and crests shows that team colors don't necessarily appear in the crest or when they do, they're paired with more intense colors and a lot of black outlines to ensure ease of visibility and recognition.
Other than that, it's a good start and I like that it takes a wider approach, as opposed to other logos in the 4CC. I'll try to make my own approach as well if I have a good idea for it.
