I'm more mainland and don't have a necessity to eat marine life, instead I hear about the trawling nets that scoop up thousands of crabs a run, basically removing entire populations for the sake of chomping down on em. It's a fact that seafood is a worldwide delicacy, and with the amount of fish species disappearing from the ocean due to overfishing, prices are only getting higher and higher. We are going to exhaust our food resource in the ocean because of the widespread demand, whereas typically seafood should be exclusive to coastal regions and/or places that require seafood in order to survive/prosper, or expensive enough that it's not a mainstream food source, thus making the demand for it much less.
