The point is to fantasize about being with your oshi. Your oshi flirting with males that aren't you (or that you can't easily self-insert as) harms that fantasy. Not all interactions with men are flirting, but all flirting is interaction with men, and flirting has a fuzzy boundary while interacting with men has a much sharper boundary so it's way easier and more effective to police "interacting with men" rather than trying to police "flirting with men".
Imagine for whatever reason you wanted to ban artist holos from drawing squares. You ban specifically the drawing of squares, so the artist holos start drawing rectangles. That's ok, they're not squares, right? Gradually they start making the rectangles closer and closer to a square. You're all caught up in arguments about measuring pixels while your oshi is drawing those dreaded squares on stream. You failed. Now imagine instead you ban drawing rectangles entirely. Others mock you, claiming you must not have passed 3rd grade geometry because you seem to think all rectangles are squares. But your oshi isn't drawing squares on stream, is she? Her artistic freedom is a little more limited than might be strictly necessary, but there's plenty of other shapes she can draw so it's not like she's totally crippled, and most importantly, you succeeded.
