Ok, so as far as I can tell, the current questions are: Did Silvervale make the comments about Hololive in the actual interview, or did the journalist make/edit them himself? Or did Vshojo's marketing department lead SV to say it, given their marketing approach is just "we're not Hololive"? How much blame should be put on each of the three? Is the Journo just a scapegoat to direct the attack away from VSJ, considering they've done similar shady tactics in the past? Was SV a scapegoat to take a jab at Hololive? Is VSJ/SV pressuring the Journo to edit the article? Is he telling the truth and was lying before, or is he only lying now? Silver's not the smartest, and rambles and repeats herself multiple times in the interview, while repeating corporate slogans. That being said, she was reportedly one of the ringleaders behind the Nux shit, and didn't say anything about the article misquoting her. VSJ's entire marketing right now is just "We're not like those fake Hololive girls! We're authentic!" I wouldn't know. I wasn't there when he was interviewing her so I don't know what she said or didn't say. The lasting problem with journalists is that you have to have faith in their integrity or you end up with the fictional but extreme example of that lady from Harry Potter. In this case, it could be true that she said something like "in other places" or "other corporations" and then went on to say what they can't do vs. what VShojo can and the journalist slapped Hololive in there lazily because that is the big corpo he was aware of and assumed she was talking about. In any event, it is clear that something about what she was being attributed to bothered her so she had him correct it. The idea of her being "pressured" to say anything is ridiculous as this is not how VShojo works. Even during the Nux drama VShojo didn't force anybody to do anything because they can't. Hell, even during the Nux bit, Silvervale never publicly apologized and even took the "VShojo" stuff out of her Twitter profile for a while, which led to a lot of speculation she was irritated about something with the agency and protesting. So, no, VShojo has no pull on them at all. They can literally tell the management to fuck off at any time and leave if they try.
