What people who hate discord don't realize is that there's more than just the cancerous, power abusing communities that they see. Anyone who has ever used Ventrilo, Mumble, TS3, or Skype to keep in touch with a small group of online/real life friends understands the advantages Discord has over any of those platforms. Not to mention nobody has to pay the server costs.
