>>33702929It does and doesn't. There's plenty in Rust that works well, but the big limiter is trying to force a Battle Royal environment without any good way to force combatants together. In the book Polka was working off of they used the grid system, and modern BR games usually use a ring, but there is always something that pushes people closer together and prevents camping. Rust doesn't have a mechanic like that, and while you could attempt to do call-outs for out-of-bounds areas, you can't really enforce it, and the combatants aren't always going to know if they step out-of-bounds or not. Food/Water could potentially be used as draw to pull players in, but with how high damage is in Rust, matches won't really last long enough for those to matter. With server mods you could have an admin be able to monitor player locations and issue kill commands for players, but I don't see that happening. So there will have to be a pretty clever solution to make it work.
