if she turns on that function for rewind in the stream that would mean that every time it buffered youtube resumes wherever it buffered instead of trying to catch up with the stream, and for some reason even if you skip manually to the live part youtube made so that you cant skip forward to catch up completely because "the live part" is just a ~6 seconds window instead of a single point like normal streams (the only way to escape desync hell is to close the stream and open it back every time it buffers but that can be bothersome when dealing with various devices and we shouldn't need to do that)
I guess it's ok this time because she wants to let the poor souls of whoever's watching it in cable tv watch it with her, but it really shouldn't be turned on for any normal roadshow
