At the end of the day, you decide how you will approach and set your expectations with your audience from the beginning and then commit to it, some people lack that sort of professionalism/commitment and become directionally confused so things can go out of hand for them
Kronii is such example, she just joined this medium to have fun on a whim without realizing the larger implications of feeding into parasocial relationships and whatnot, ended up unintentionally feeding into them and without knowing, nurtured an audience full of unicorns while not being prepared to handle the consequences.
Now don't get me wrong, I hate parasocial relationships and this entire unicorn madness, I wish it never was a thing but my point is that it can work depending on how you approach and handle it. The key factor is always professionalism and commitment to the foundation you have built
