Upon becoming a member, you get "infected" by AO through unknown means. Some say that you're forced to read one of its pages, some others say you get your own lite copy of AO to read, and some have even said it goes all the way through a complete lobotomy operation.
If you've accepted the infection, your body is forcefully wrangled into one of Ina's tentacles where you'll stay the closest to her for the next month or so. Obedience of her orders and acceptance of your new status will earn you a few doodles on you. Once your entire body is doodled up, you're cleared up for tako conversion.
That's the point where we don't fucking know what's happening anymore. Apparently, the tentacle physical mass is compressed into this small shape directly by the priestess hands to guarantee a forever lasting loyalty to her. Others have said the halo above their heads serve as a constant brainwashing technique, but we frankly don't have a single fucking idea.
