>>35854150Sounds like don't understand the problem, it's not as simple as differentiating between fantasy and reality, even within your head the "fantasy" you can construct of something is at least somewhat based on what you know of it in reality, unless you're on some truly abstract shit.
That's why I could easily concoct a sexual fantasy in my head of a stranger, a pornstar, a tv star, an anime character, someone emotionally distant to me in some way, because I can fill in the gaps to make that fantasy coherent and not repulsive to me.
But if I tried to do that with someone I know really well, like a very close friend or a family member, I simply couldn't do it because I know too much about them and thus constructing that fantasy brings up too much cognitive dissonance for it to ever possibly be immersive.
I think of my oshi in a similar way, which is why I can do it for any other Holo or Vtuber, but not my oshi.
If you can do that then so be it, to each his own, your powers of compartmentalization must certainly be stronger than mine, but I would still find it very weird.
