Taking into account Ina's explanation of the Observation Effect, the Watchers that tormented Bae, and the vanishings that drove Gura, Fauna, and Amelia to the brink of madness, whatever they were trying to attract worked. I mean, we're here, aren't we?
We watched, because cruelty really is the best attractor, isn't it (Notice that she's looking right at the audience as she says this)? How many times have we read a story, watched a show, because of the hurt the characters go through? Now what if the characters became aware of that? Well here we are.
Even though it's all seemingly fixed in the end, the fact that Kronii, Mumei, and Ina seem to recall what happened just leaves this worrying unease in the air, this unaddressed question.
What if it happens again?
Bravo to Fauna and the rest of the girls for putting all this together. It's wonderfully horrifying, and I hope we get something like this again next year.
