I already laid out pretty clearly why the motivations are different between the two camps, you're not teaching me anything new. It's obvious, if they had reason to go and live and/or work in Japan, they would learn Japanese. In fact, the girls in question have attempted in the past while having no reason to, and most of them are already studying now because they work for a Japanese company.
