For music, the majority of them have others writing their lyrics and the music itself, so they're not busy doing that. For the dancing, sure that's going to take a little bit of time, but it doesn't take 30+ hours a week for weeks on end to learn a simple 5 minute tops dance. We literally aren't seeing anything else to even pretend to justify "Oh they were busy with X."
A fair majority of them do outside of Cover work which eats up time, but that ISN'T a viable excuse either. Either be a Cover talent or be the other, don't try to juggle both resulting in both being done poorly.
