Most streamers dont live off streaming, the ones that do are the outliers, not the norm.
Even some of the more succesful ones have a regular job still and just stream at night, I imagine its nice supplemental income.

In the end Nijisanji makes more off the streamers than they make from Niji. Their only expense for each chuuba is the models really, which the streamers more than pay back with Niji's cut. And anyone that costs the company money gets graduated. It's pretty cutthroat.

It's not really an "estimation". They are quoting the market cap of the company at some point. What you would have to pay at that point in time to buy every stock in the company based on the price it is trading at. Like right now the market cap is 187bn yen so you would need around $1.5bn to buy the whole stock of the company.

I work at an office job I make 30.15 an hour. Good pay.
Boss still makes over double that while working half the hours. His boss makes more than him while working maybe 1 day a week.

Friend works at the warehouse down the street, makes less than I do at about 23.50 an hour. Decent pay but their work is way harder than what I do. Their bosses make over double that.
Capitalism is a system designed around people getting rich off of other people's work while paying them significantly less than yourself, it's just a fact of life. Unless you're a billionaire you'll always be on the bottom of some totem pole

Compared to most workers I would say vtubers at Hololive and Nijisanji actually have it pretty good. If the rumoured splits are correct then they are taking home like 50% of the revenue their work brings into the company on most stuff.

I assume the reason they keep that stuff is because of the poor image and fan backlash it would create if they terminated all those people.
