Kotoka sounded like she just applied to anything she could for a while and mostly watched VSPO. I wouldn't doubt that an application of hers is somewhere in the pile at Cover HQ, as well as everywhere else.

I watched holo girls because they were at least faking it and being cute without being too trashy. Niji girls are quite literally incapable of doing that, except for maybe Rosemi and Petra (altho' even Petra can get pretty trashy sometimes). If Niji won, then the trashy twitch thot culture won, because girls from most other corpose are the same (phase, prism, idol EN, etc). They just can't help it but talk about cocks, shits, piss, periods, and curse like sailors on top of it. Like literally, every other word to some of these girls is "shit" and "fuck". I'm not offended by it, but it just sounds insanely trashy and it is a complete contrast to what I'm seeing on the screen (a cute anime girl).

I'm not even a unicorn but I find it kinda weird that a simple niche like CGDCT simply can't exist. And people say "just watch streams when they don't collab with males". Even then, just seeing from clips how they act completely different around males just makes you think that they are fake as fuck with the rest of their audience.
You know how when you watch your oshi solo, and then she collabs with one of her girl friends and she acts like a completely different person? It's like that but 10 times worse with males.

It's not /vt/ brain rot, with HoloEN and HoloJP having open auditions it's extremely hard to believe all these new debuts didn't try everything that was available to them. Hololive might've not been their first choice, that I can agree with, but unless you're really dedicated to that one agency it's stupid to not cover all your bases, especially if your goal is HoloEN and you don't have a dick between your legs. Besides they won't say "I tried this agency but was ignored" and at most will be vague about it. Unlike /vt/ these people are not tribalfags and like to watch people from all agencies so it makes no sense to apply a tribalfag mentality for either side here.

Nijisanji already burned that bridge.
Doesn't how matter how many all girl gens they debut, doesn't matter how good they are.
I still won't watch them.
Hololive is walking a fine line with a couple of their girls having collabs with males sometimes but they still manage to be on the safe zone for now.
Nijisanji went past the point of no return because guys show up with the girls like every fucking stream.
I know because I was a NijiEN early adopter and enjoyed the golden age of Lazulight/Ethyria and saw how it was ruined when Luxiem showed up.

This is about a JP gen anyway so who gives a shit.
Nijisanji will never take over Hololive in JP and no one gives a fuck about Nijisanji jp.

Having a couple members do some collabs sometimes in an otherwise no males company isn't the same as a male/female company where males everywhere is the norm, every collab will have guys, they are part of every project and they show up at everyone's streams.

In one place males are basically a bug that shows up from time to time. In the other place they are a feature that is included in every product.

They kinda did that to themselves, when 90% of them stop streaming for a whole month and a part of them start acting like they're in Nijisanji it's a good time to start checking new options.
I'll still watch HoloEN sometimes tho, even if they're not my main source of content I still have them as an option.
If they ever go full Nijisanji I will just drop them entirely too.
I liked Pomu and Rosemi a lot but I just stopped watching them entirely once the males showed up and took over the company. Can't really say I miss them because all vtubers are replaceable.
There's not much difference between one anime girl acting dumb and saying funny shit and another one.

There are multiple things other than silly tribalism in play though, using Kotoka as an example since she's into Apex it's much easier to network with people in that scene through Nijisanji or VSPO, Towa talked multiple times about the work she goes through for her collabs and tournament participation not to mention the amount of schizos who gave her a lot of shit for a long time.

Because it's fair to compare a tech giant with a bunch of talent agencies that are medium sized at best openly asking for people to send their auditions, right? My argument here is that it's stupid to believe these girls didn't send their shit to everywhere that was available because even the worst options out of them would be better than staying as an 2view indie without any hope of growth, otherwise they wouldn't want to be hired by an agency in the first place. Granted, this is much more valid against Hololive (EN in particular) than the others, but it's free to send your stuff to every possible option so why wouldn't they do it in the first place?

But now the girls show they have no problem playing with guys, they even organize it. That means that all the lack of individual fan acknowledgement or memory, hiding servers to dodge people, turning off voice and text chat - it's not because they're guys. It's because they're "just" fans. Not only are the fans not considered friendly enough to talk with in games, they're a threat. Before, it was ambiguous. Now, it's clear that there are guys that they're okay with having fun with, but they will never be you, even though they're basically the same as you, or worse. That clearly drawn line is what makes people drift away.

Every day chat is shocked anew by how many permissions they need for the most vanilla things like vr chat tours despite how it should be a known thing for years. Fact is regardless of the reason, it doesn't look or feel good and it aggravates the entire issue to have such a clear disparity between the level of interaction holos can have with male fans versus male talents.
