>>43358575Everything seems to be political in the US and they seem to have one of the absolute worst discourse around any issue.
The gender stuff has arrived in Europe especially in German speaking countries since all nouns are gendered in German.
Some people are trying to make a fuss about the base form of many jobs being male and the plural used for a mixed group being the same as the plural used for a pure male group. Most people tell them they are stupid and blowing things out of proportion and that's basically the most extreme it ever gets.
One right-wing politician in a very conservative area suggested putting people at schools to check if children actually have the right sex before being allowed to enter a bathroom and everyone including his own party called him an idiot and a creep. I may be wrong but I could see lunacy like that getting traction in the US.
It kinda feels like in the US you HAVE to take a side (maybe because of their two party system?) while the same is not true in Europe. And that is probably one reason Kiara has an easy time dancing around all of those topics - she doesn't know enough about them and she isn't passionate about them so she doesn't feel the need to address them or be part of a conflict that has nothing to do with her.
