A better map, bigger and encourages exploration but also hard punishes you with one of the most terrifying beasts if you venture out too far
With that said, WAY better creature designs, like holy shit everything in Below Zero is either cute and fluffy or jelly, literally nothing is terrifying in this game.
Better lighting, makes being stranded in the ocean an actual terrible feeling because shit gets so dark at night and even during the day it's still got a spooky feel to it.
Manages to tell a better story without the protagonist saying a single word mostly because of how absolutely stupid and talkative they made the Below Zero protagonist.
Actual feeling of progression and build basing in the water unlike this game which practically hands you literally everything on a silver platter and then slaps your face with a lore dick because they wanted to tell a "deeper" story while also flexing their pandering.
