>>44319324I was wondering about this, too. 3 of her 4 songs so far are basically character songs about herself. I think KINGWORLD is different in that regard, while the MV also tells a story about her and her Friends, the lyrics are more or less entirely unrelated. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but a bit more variety would be great because I don't know how much these kind of songs appeal to people that don't already like her. She's not really a music focused Holo in the first place, but it would be nice if people could discover her through her songs as well, so music that's less directly focused on herself would probably a good idea for the next couple of songs. If she had a great song that stands on its own merit, other people might also try singing it, which might create some interest in it from their audience. This is probably another confidence thing, she probably thinks she isn't good enough to make it with a regular song so she has been making stuff that is guaranteed to be liked by her already existing audience. But on the other hand, you can only make so many of these songs before you run out of things to say so I'm going to amuse the next couple of songs will be a bit different.
From what I can tell, though, she doesn't seem to be directly involved in the songwriting process very much (if at all), she kept saying stuff like "Haru-san added a Servant here in the MV! Hamu-san added Hajimanbou in the lyrics here, I really like that". We know that she has confidence problems when it comes to expressing what she wants to do, so maybe she is reluctant to talk about what kind of concept she wants to do and just goes with other people's suggestions.
I still really like the new song, though. It's a bit too early to rank it but I think I like it better than Say! Fanfare at the very least.
