it's a staple game for the both of them, they had whole narrative arcs with usaken vs akukin/neighbour wars/hololive resistance
plus Aqua hadn't played it in a very long time, and she streams rarely in general nowadays

plus, Hololive JP gets huge numbers regularly

Minecraft streams used to get even more viewers back in 2020. Pekora on her own can get 30k playing MC on a weekday. Aqua is not that active anymore so is kind of a big deal when she does stream. Combine both playing together and you get this.

Akupeko was the most desired arc of hololive for years, they never interacted with each other (except for one forced corpo curry collab where Pekora avoided touching Aqua) and people suspected an actual beef dating back to their NND days
it has died down some since Aqua essentially retired 3 years ago and the PekoMiko rift but it is still a huge deal

If you could read nip it looks like a return stream for Aqua, I don't watch her but I assume she either is coming back from a break or that it's her first time playing Minecraft in quite a while so the views are boosted. If Pekora is playing with her it makes sense for both to be high.
