>>45225157You don't seem to understand how Japanese black companies operate. See, the first thing you need to know is that they treat you unfairly. Obviously, right? But then you ask yourself "Okay, if they are treating me unfairly, don't I just leave?" And therein lies the catch. They have multiple filters to stop people from leaving:
Firstly, you are under contract. This contract carries penalties for you leaving. That's not bad in and of itself, but that's just the start.
Secondly, if you try to leave anyway, they will slander the ever loving fuck out of you to make sure you don't get to work in that industry again. You see, in Japan, interviews look very heavily at your past job experience. There is a LOT of weight given to the words of your previous employer when you try to get hired somewhere. You are also under NDA so you can't speak your side of the story to clear your name.
Now you might think, "Oh well that's just pointless spite that doesn't actually help them, because the person is still gone anyway". Wrong. See they aren't doing it just out of spite. They have a very simple motive. To keep employees trapped. They make an example out of one person to keep the rest in line. If one person gets tarred and feathered, anyone else thinking about leaving is going to think twice, yeah? That's why people in the blackest companies often turn to suicide. They know if they quit their life is over anyway. Now I'm not saying Anycolor is the blackest of the black. Absolutely not. But they definitely take some pages from the playbook. Yugo made the branch look real bad when they left and ended up more successful as an indie. Can't have that happen again.
