>>4592188It really isn't hard.
If you want to give criticism, and be taken well, you need to do two things:
>One: NEVER TRY AND BE FUNNY OR SNARKY WHILE GIVING ADVICEThat means no retarded jokes, no tired shitposts thrown in there, no faggoty snide remarks that are meant to express frustration, etc. Putting those in the complaint means you instantly lose credibility; no one wants to listen to a shitposter when retards looking for an opening are always around.
>Two: SEPARATE YOUR EMOTIONAL RESPONSE FROM THE COMPLAINTS, EXCEPT FOR THE DESIRE TO SEE IMPROVEMENTIf you fill a complaint with stuff like
>God, I'm so disappointed now...Or
>It honestly pisses me off to see you fuck up like thisOr
>I just don't think I can deal with this kind of shit much longer, you aren't going to be listened to. No one likes someone who seems like they're guilt tripping, and if you're emotional, you'll be seen as letting your emotions take over your reasonable brain, and be treated like a hysteric.
If you want to deliver a message, do it with sincerity and a wish to see someone do well. Don't try and make it about yourself and your personal response to something; make it clear that you want the best for them and give concrete, feasible options for improvement that aren't based on emotions or subjective desires. If we look at Mori today, there's a lot of shitty posts in the archive, but someone posted a good response really succinctly, which I'll paraphrase:
>The collab didn't go as well as it could. If Mori could find the time to do prep-work for a collab with her partner before they go live, these streams would go much better for her. I want to see her at her best. Maybe if she scheduled herself and her partner for an hour before the stream to have time to test things, that could solve the problem. That's good criticism, delivered in a way that could never be mistaken for schizophrenic ramblings, and would be accepted by most people here and probably Mori herself, judging by what happened.
Don't let yourself get petty, or angry, or sullen, or accusatory, or just generally retarded, and you can deliver criticism well. It's the fact that people can't help themselves that leads them to be lumped in with shitposters in bad faith.
Someone wanted an essay a day or two ago, so I guess that's a monkey's paw for them, but it is worth writing about.
