OK, so the first three are simple.
>AA: ￥0.
>AB: 90% chance on owing ￥200,000, 10% chance of getting ￥1,800,000.
>BA: 90% chance of ￥200,000, 10% chance of owing ￥1,800,000.

BB is the fun one because of compounding probabilities. Using simple multiplication, the options here break down to:
>Winning the ￥2,000,000 outright: 9%.
>Going ￥2,000,000 into debt: 9%.
>Winning and losing the same amount, zeroing out: 82%.

So as with all things, it's situational. If you're a high roller, go with BB. If you can tolerate risk, AB. If you're risk averse, BA.

Except those are the correct answers. They both have the same mean, but B in both cases have higher variance. In a good situation, you want lower variance, because that reduces the probability of a less-than-average gain, while in a negative situation, you want higher variance, because that creates more probability that you have a lower-than-average loss. Betting on extremes is what brainlets do.
