Long form games are a general debuff for most audiences. If you don't catch it from the beginning, you're already at a disadvantage. And the longer the series runs, the more any potential new audiences have to catch up, unless they're just coming into a completed series by watching VODs.

I think a smarter way to handle RPGs would be to go for longer streams to get as much content in each video as possible. Potentially even going through the trouble of putting together a recap at the beginning of each sequential episode so that your audience isn't obligated to view everything that preceded it.

I think it boils down to an expectation of a certain floor just for being part of Hololive. No one cares that simply being part of the NBA if you are a bench warmer who gets 2 minutes of play during garbage time. Even if you could go to any playground pickup game and thrash a bunch of regular joes, you will be remembered moreso as the guy not worthy of holding Lebron’s jockstrap.
So you made Hololive and get 1k-4k, good for you, you are still trash and wasting a spot that someone else could take and get 12k viewers easily.

While streaming is nice and all, the end result is that the overall VOD views will reflect what their core viewership is. It's not always possible to catch streamers based on everyone's individual schedule and timezone, but if someone is interested in watching the content, they'll show up as a +1 view after the fact.

P4G was kinda kino but Yu doesn't have the oomp that the other Persona protags have. Even Minato has that emo-ish vibe to him that makes him look cool but Yu is too much of a basic bitch imo

Anyways JRPGs as streaming content will always be a debuff to CCV, unless its overhyped/overrated games like Elden Ring (or any From game really) and P5 so Mori won't ever get good ccv on P3P streams.

Kaela gets great views when she plays the right game aka Minecraft.
Nobody is gonna jump into the middle of part 8 of an 70 hour JRPG playthrough unless they really, really love the game or deeply enjoy the streamer so of course the projects are bleeding viewers like crazy.
Meanwhile with Minecraft anyone can just jump in at any time, recognize what is going on, enjoy watching and also won't feel bad about dropping out. It is a great stream game for long streams but Bae and Kiara refuse to properly use it.
