I like jazz fusion a lot. If you like dad rock and jazz, you'd probably like Snarky Puppy. They've won a lot of awards and for a good reason. Weather Report and Mahvishnu Orchestra or however its spelled would be up your ally too.
T.R.A.M is good too and it a little less known. Not to be confused with Tram who were an English slowcore music duo.
