The actual true is that with the current situation around the world, not many people have neither the time or the will to watch v-tubers, not even time to be a weeb since parents and neets are getting unemployed, so people have to work and not wasting time in hobbies, many of us watching streams and having money for the media should consider yourself lucky since the thing is going to get way worse.
Also, the whole "End of Corpos" is just fake, ask yourself, why no Holo EN 3? Because is risky, meaning that lauching them now will cost more than having them break even after few times. They already have the mayority of the EN market with high sums of money in making from merch, concerts and more, so why risking shit when shit is going to hit the fan? Niji is stupid enough to keep growing the risk by having a group of workers not getting along and trying to solve their inner conflicts by themselves without caring until they do something really stupid (Like Millie) or they break the status quo (Zaion)
Hololive doing nothing is winnning, because they're saving resources for the aftermath, when Niji totally collapse into itself (ID thank to Hana Macchia did it, but the stone was set the moment Kobo debuted). The future is corpo, what you saw during this period is the "free market phase" where many girls tried to do their own shit by trying to surpass hololive or equaling them but failing, and those who survive are going to be the future indies that collabs with Hololive just like many of JP indies do, JP is corpo dominated because that's the end game, right now EN is living the transformation into that, that's why many are starting to waking up, to jump out of the boat before it crash, and those who stay in the sea, can get saved from a big corpo ship.
If i have to pin point the exact moment when this happaned, i think it was once Niji EN debuted, i still think the group is good but was not really relevant enough to be a big weight to impose a system against hololive, and v-shoujo it was a failed experiment from the get go, so now Holo EN wait for the rest to eat each other until they're the only alive and start going full force to dominate the market.
