These are mutually exclusive, and you'll find the people in this very thread are split on these topics. There is no way to implement all potential feedback a Hololive member receives, meaning inevitably some fan will end up unhappy.
In the end, a Holo will have to make the choice themselves somehow (either through choosing for themselves or letting the popular vote decide) what they will do. That's where respecting their autonomy comes in. They make a choice and either you get what you want or you don't, and the only thing that's up to you to decide is how you feel about it in the end.
