She decided to toss a firecracker at someone who turned out to be a Vet with PTSD and responded by absolutely fucking murdering the terrorist that accosted him.
Now Spooky is dead and is still trying to scare people, but she's still too adorable. Still obsessed with spooking people, she starts collecting monsters and spirits in her mansion and entices people to visit in order to collect their souls for an army to take over the world.
There's side stories about Spooky's father creating ways to communicate and retrieve dead souls but that's additional and not really the main point.
